The FIAT/IFTA Television Studies Work group has been launched!

August the 13th 1999 will hopefully prove to be a memorable date, since that was the inaugural meeting of the FIAT/IFTA Television Studies Work group at the BFI premises in London. The meeting was hosted by BFI, also the workplace of the Work group's Coordinator Steve Bryant.

The working fields of the group got its first outline and a more detailed presentation and discussion about the future will be made at the Santiago World Conference in October. The report from this meeting you will soon find on the FIAT/IFTA home pages.

The next TSW meeting will take place in Stockholm at the end of October in connection with the conference "Approaches to Television Studies".
