Dear Colleagues,

Time is running and the Vienna World Conference and General Assembly will take place very soon.

Today I want to remind you that there are some deadlines: If you want to join the cultural program (opera, musical) the registration and money must be on the mentioned account no later than Wednesday, Sept. 13th. We need a fax copy of the bank transfer, otherwise we cannot hold the tickets.

The second deadline is the registration until the end of September. After Oct. 1st, additional 20% will be charged to the fee. Please keep these dates in your mind.

In total, the preparation is running quite well: the program is promising; FIAT now has 15 Supporting Members and we will also be able to welcome some colleagues from the Üendangered archives¹ in Vienna. We will be able to have an intensive dialogue with the industry. At the end of August 160 m2 have already been ordered by the most important industry players and almost every evening there is a sponsored program. So I hope to again meet the many colleagues we met in Budapest, Florence and Santiago de Chile. But today I want to appeal to you: Should you be missing something in the program, should you still have topic and speaker suggestions, please inform us as soon as possible. The FIAT Executive Council and Commissions can now still react to such proposals.

But now to my main wish of today: Please use this second program version to invite new potential members to the Vienna World Conference. Forward their addresses and names our Secretary General Lasse Nilsson or me so we can officially invite them to the Conference. I believe that the number of new televison broadcasters is steadily growing in every country and that they also have to tackle our questions. There is a great potential here, but this only works with personal propaganda and contact.
