Joint FIAT/IASA/DELOS Workshop (3 April 2003)
In conjunction with the FIAT/IASA meeting (4-5 April 2003)
Hosted by YLE, Helsinki
Radio/audio archives are now very active in mass digitisation, and
facing most of the traditional digital library issues - sustainability, funding,
workflow, storage formats and technology, metadata.
The one day FIAT/IASA/DELOS Workshop, on 3rd April, brings together
researchers in the field of preservation, researchers in the field of digital
libraries and end-users (of media digital libraries) from the IFTA/IASA community
to present and discuss what are the "hot topics" - in research and in practice
- when dealing with digitisation, preservation and access to digital libraries.
The FIAT/IASA meeting, on 4th and 5th April, will deal with topics
of more specific interest to the community of Radio and Audio-Visual archives.
